The Republic of Moldova is a landlocked country located in the southeastern Europe, borders with Romania and Ukraine, and its capital is Chisinau.

Moldova has a temperate continental climate. The territory of plains and hills are alternatively distributed, the middle part is the highlands, and two-thirds of the land is chernozem. The northern and central part are forests and grasslands, while the southern part is grasslands. There are many rivers running through this country, but most of them are short, and among them Dniester River and the Prut River are the two largest rivers in the territory. There are rich groundwater resources, and there are about 2,200 natural springs.

Its predecessor is a Soviet Union Republic, declared its independence in 1991, and is now a member of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Moldova is an sovereign-independent, unified and indivisible country with a democratic system of political pluralism, a presidential system, a separation of powers and a coexistence of public and private ownership. The country does not allow foreign troops to be stationed.
